The Artist

Shaping light and color through the ancient art of glassblowing

April Wagner is a Michigan-based glass artist whose work explores the interplay between transparency, color, and organic form. Each sculpture is born from fire — shaped, blown, and finished entirely by hand in her Detroit-area studio.

Her pieces have been exhibited nationally and commissioned for public installations, corporate collections, and private residences.

About April

Three decades of fire, glass, and unwavering vision

Working from her studio in the Metro Detroit area, April transforms raw materials into luminous works of art. Her process merges traditional Venetian glassblowing techniques with a contemporary sensibility — each piece a study in balance, color theory, and the physics of light.

Commissions and studio visits are available by appointment.

"Glass is alive — it breathes, it moves, it remembers every gesture. My work is a conversation between intention and the material's own will."
